We’re headed there for a wedding. I think we are staying in Kill Devil Hills. The wedding itself is in Duck at any rate. Any suggestions for places to eat? Good cheap seafood anywhere?

Good parks to go to? – I am a big light house girl.

Miller’s Restaurant is the best place for reasonably priced seafood. They have a waterfront restaurant in Nags Head and one in Kill Devil Hills as well. You can find out everything you want to know about the OBX on our website (www.consciencepoint-obx.com). Maybe someday you can come stay at our little slice of paradise as well. You are certainly going to the right place to visit lighthouses. There are two that you can walk into and climb the stairs to the top (Currituck and Cape Hatteras) and two more you can visit (Bodie Island and Ocracoke). If you’re really a lighthouse lover, take a day to travel down to Cape Lookout. It is on its own desolate island and requires two ferries and a private boat ride to get to, but it’s worth every second. As for parks, you’re going to the first National Seashore in the United States. There are miles and miles of unspoiled beaches in their original state. Head over to Hatteras Island and check out the Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge. You can also see a shipwreck just across the street from the entrance. There is no shortage of things to do that’s for sure. Have a great trip.

We have been there a few times. I don’t like seafood, so I don’t have any specific recommendations for you. However, there are tons of restaurants throughout the Outer Banks. I have heard that it used to be a great, quite place on the beach. It’s not that quiet anymore with its construction craziness. Still enjoyable and lots of fun though!
There are a few light houses there, also the Wright Brothers Memorial. I liked spending a day going over to Ocracoke – a cute island with another lighthouse there.
Enjoy your trip!
